Who is Sarah Shabacon?

Sarah Shabacon is a Canadian entrepreneur and founder of Bohème Goods, an online sustainable fashion and goods shop, as well as the mother to two young boys, Isaac and Ziggy. In every part of her life, Sarah makes sure to practice sustainability and strives to be a role model to her two sons.

What’s her story?

Since an early childhood, Sarah was an avid thrifter, introduced to the world of vintage by her mother who also taught Sarah about fabric and design. Sarah's passion for vintage and thrifting inspired her to found Bohème Goods in 2013 out of her Maple Ridge, British Columbia home. Since the launch of Bohème, Sarah has been able to create a neutral and a boho feel to Bohème while designing and curating women’s clothes, home decor, accessories, children’s clothes, and more. Bohème Goods is environmentally conscious, carrying carefully curated pieces which aren’t fast-fashion, and by doing so, diverting the products from the landfill. Sarah strives to educate her customers about sustainability and them to realize that they’re not just purchasing aesthetic vintage goods, but rather contributing to a cause so much bigger. In 2021, Sarah is planning on launching her children's clothing store “Suns Of The Surf”. Same as the items already sold in Bohème, Suns Of The Surf will be carrying vintage and thrifted pieces.

How does she inspire others?

Sarah is an inspiration to us all and is featured in this week’s Woman Wednesday blog post because of her environmentally conscious approach towards fashion through the curation of vintage fashion and sustainable designs – an approach which has created a ripple effect that spreads her philosophy to her customers and fans all over the world.
